Scope of Work

This project covers the core mechanical and electrical systems for eight newly constructed large-scale enclosed cylindrical coal silos, including the plough feeder discharge system (RPF) and dust collection system, along with the full suite of supporting utility works — electrical and lighting, ventilation, fire protection, and water supply and drainage systems. Through the integration of highly automated and diversified mechanical and electrical equipment, the project ensures efficient, stable, and safe coal storage and conveying operations.

Project Background

As environmental awareness continues to rise globally, conventional open-air coal stockyards are increasingly recognised as a source of fugitive dust emissions that degrade air quality in surrounding communities. In response to growing environmental concerns and in active pursuit of pollution prevention, Taipower initiated the Dalin Power Plant Renewal Project to transition coal storage from open-air stockyards to enclosed cylindrical silos. This approach improves land utilisation efficiency while simultaneously reducing dust dispersion and protecting the surrounding ecological environment — achieving a dual win for operational performance and environmental responsibility.
